Poetry of God’s World
Brenda writes of herself: "I took a poetry class at Fresno State in 1974. The teacher was Phil Levine, a later U.S. Poet Laureate. He influenced my writing, not in style but in enthusiasm. Ever since taking that class I have enjoyed writing poetry.
There is a little flower garden in downtown Gilroy that I enjoy tending. It started in 2006 by a love of gardening shared with a friend, Betty Lepper. Betty has passed but I think of her and even talk to her when planting new flowers or pulling weeds. I find much of my inspiration in this garden.”
