Resource Center

The mission of the Resource Center is to provide immediate basic aid to those most in need in such a way that honors them as human beings and as children of God.

For over thirty years the Resource Center has been offering assistance to those struggling to make ends meet, most of whom are without a stable residence. We do this by providing:

  • Enough nutritious food for three meals

  • Toiletries and other supplies such as tooth brushes, tooth paste, soap, shampoo, etc.

  • Blankets, sleeping bags, rain ponchos, and pillows

  • Jackets, coats, sweaters, shirts, pants, hats, mittens, shoes and socks

In addition to these necessities, we also offer a mail service, giving an address to those without one and so providing a vital link to government services and potential employers, something not available at most other agencies. Most of all, though, we offer encouragement, and respect to those who are seldom given either one. We care for them as the children of God that they truly are.

Each year the Resource Center serves hundreds of clients, directly addressing their needs for assistance.

The Resource Center is thankful to everyone who has made donations. We are always in need of underwear, socks, shoes, and jackets---all of which may be new or second hand.
